Sleeping happy dogAlthough training is very important, most dog behavioural problems cannot be resolved with training alone. Much can be learnt from books, the internet or even television shows, but every dog; every pet/owner relationship and every behaviour problem is different. What may seem to be an effective treatment for one dog could actually result in a worsening of the current problem and even the development of other, possibly more serious behaviours in another individual, even if the problem behaviours appear very similar.

By treating you and your dog as individuals and exploring all factors influencing your dog's behaviour we may best understand the underlying causes of the behavioural problem and so in turn apply most appropriate, effective and gentle means of treatment. Contact your veterinary surgeon or call 01225 870105/864463 if you are experiencing any of the following behaviour problems with your dog:

Aggression (to people or other animals)
Destructive behaviour
Separation problems
Control issues
House soiling
Excessive barking

Fears and anxieties (including fear of fireworks )
Compulsive behaviours (tail/shadow chasing, self -mutilation
